We got our first detailed look at Horizon VR: Call of the Mountain today at Sony’s State of Play event today. The gameplay shows off loads of mechanics, showcasing that it is a fully fleshed-out game, not just a ride-along experience. When the original trailer debuted, we weren’t sure if Call of the Mountain was going to be a glorified tech demo. Those concerns are certainly stifled now.
Players will embody a character in the world of Horizon, wielding weapons and gadgets similar to the rest of the series, such as a bow and arrow, to take on mecha dinos. There also looks to be a large focus on the platforming elements of the game, hinting — not so subtly — at the fact that the player needs to climb up a mountain.
The game certainly looks beautiful and will be taking full advantage of what the PSVR2 has to offer including haptic feedback on the headset and the Sense controllers.
